MISSION STATEMENT:

 

The iRun Challenge consists of 31 participants, each contributing one 13.1 mile run over the month of December. (One runner per day - by the end of the month each participant will have run 13.1 miles).

The iRun Challenge brings together runners and customers from different places around the world to support the voiceless children of South Florida by raising money and awareness through individual 13.1 mile efforts.  The iRun Challenge benefits Voices for Children Foundation, Inc. 

WHO DOESN’T LOVE RUNNING 13.1 miles? Or if you havent done it before, this is your chance to donate to a great cause while accomplishing your first 13.1!

 

ABOUT VOICES FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION, INC:

The mission of Voices For Children Foundation, Inc. (VfCF) is to raise funds to ensure that every abused, abandoned and neglected child in Miami-Dade County has a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their health, educational, and social needs.  Voices for Chidren is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) organization for the 11th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program.  Tax ID 59-2746076

SHARE YOUR STORY:

We want to inspire donations.  We want to inspire action.  We want to inspire dedication.

Let’s show the children of VfCF what we can do when we work together.  As part of the iRun Challenge, you will share how, when, and where you participated in the iRun Challenge.  Each runner’s journey will be featured on social media.  Your individual social media post will answer questions such as:  Where did you run your 13.1?  How did it go?  Why did you sign up for the iRun Challenge?  What motivated you during your 13.1?  What motivates you daily?

We need more than your story, we need pictures before, during, and/or after your 13.1.

 

REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY:

The iRun Challenge Team will consist of 31 RUNNERS

• 20 RUNNERS FROM THE USA

• 11 INTERNATIONAL RUNNERS

• EACH RUNNER GETS TO PICK THE SPECIFIC DAY WHEN YOU WANT TO RUN YOUR 13.1 MILES (DATE AVAILABILITY IS A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS)

 

$25.00 Registration goes to VfCF.  iRun Company will donate an additional $5.00 for each runner on the team.

 

EACH RUNNER MUST COMPLETE THEIR 13.1 ON THE DAY ASSIGNED.  Participants will receive emails during the week of their run (Week 1 Runners, Week 2 Runners, etc) with final instructions and to confirm they are prepared to participate.  If you cannot run on your assigned day you MUST INFORM iRUN COMPANY THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN RECRUIT A REPLACEMENT RUNNER FOR YOU - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

 

Each one of the 31 team members will receive a finisher's medal.

 

Each runner is required to use a Garmin watch to log their run as proof of completing their portion of the challenge.

 

Each run must be performed on the assigned day and cannot be conducted on a track or treadmill.  OUTDOOR, INDIVIDUAL RUNS ONLY.  THERE ARE NO GROUP RUNS FOR THIS EVENT, YOU MUST RUN THE 13.1 SOLO AND SHARE YOUR STORY WITH US.
